Hi, I’m Chelsea! Originally from the east coast, I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Central Florida and will soon be completing my masters in psychology with an emphasis on Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy in May of 2022. Before working in the mental health field, I spent a total of ten years working in either childcare or early education. I describe my style of therapy as holistic wellness, with elements of cognitive behavioral and person centered therapy. My goal is to develop a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients in order to provide a nonjudgmental and safe environment for  healing. Being a teen can be tough and it is my honor to be entrusted with helping young people navigate their mental health.Â
Honor is a duly certified Drug and Alcohol Technician, with her credentials officially registered. Originally hailing from Texas, she relocated to California in 2006. Her area of expertise lies in assisting adolescent individuals, guiding them towards discovering their authentic voices. Notably, Honor actively maintains her own path of recovery, embodying the principles she advocates.
In her capacity as a peer counselor, Honor adeptly facilitates our clients' personal growth in Life Skills classes. She takes great pride in fostering an environment where our teenage beneficiaries feel at ease and empowered, nurturing their development and well-being.
Francisco received his Master's Degree in Marriage and Family therapy from Brandman University and is currently working on becoming licensed. It has been his goal and dream to work with people struggling with mental health and assist them in finding their inner strength to heal, recover, and become someone they can be proud of. He enjoys building a therapeutic bond with clients and help them feel comfortable prior to discussing the internal causes of their struggles. Francisco has worked in the mental health field for almost 7 years now and has been able to expand his knowledge and appreciation for people working on their mental health. His style of therapy is very client-centered with elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative therapy, and Solution-Focused therapy.
Nohemy received her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services at the University of Phoenix. With her degree she brings extensive knowledge and experience in the field of child development and adolescent growth. Working with children and youth has been a lifelong journey for Nohemy. As a Coachella Valley native, her desire to make an impact brings her to 417 Recovery building a safe environment for teens and families implementing activities while establishing one-on-one connections. She is very dedicated and passionate about working and helping teens and their families reach their goals.
Christina is a licensed marriage and family therapist who has extensive experience providing mental health services to children, teens, and adults facing challenges including coping with trauma, behavioral issues, parenting, depression, anxiety, and life transitions. She began her career working in residential treatment centers for youth and continued to work with families, teens, and foster families. Christina now continues to work with adults, teens, and families and is excited to be part of the 417 Recovery family as Clinical Director.

Jessica Horning, PA-C is a nationally board-certified physician assistant at Pacific Neuropsychiatric Specialists. Jess graduated first from The Master’s University located in her hometown of Santa Clarita, California with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She later briefly relocated to Riverside to attend California Baptist University, acquiring a Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Jess is trained to diagnose, manage, and treat patients with various psychiatric conditions. Jess looks forward to every new patient she sees and views it as an opportunity to discover how she can best tailor each treatment plan to her individual patient’s needs and values. People often comment on Jess’s happy, bubbly personality which she views as an asset in her work.
Desiree received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from
California State University San Bernardino and will soon be graduating
with her Master’s Degree in Psychology from Brandman University.
Desiree has six years of experience working with at-risk youth and
eight years of experience implementing community-wide wellness
programs on mental, emotional, and physical health for various
non-profits including Boys & Girls Club and DAP Health. Desiree
strongly believes in therapy serving as a safe haven for individuals
and families. She focuses on using evidence-based practices including
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and
Structural Family Therapy. She enjoys building a collaborative
relationship with her clients and helping individuals learn the
importance of social, communication, critical thinking and
decision-making skills for improving their overall self-confidence and
ability to cope with stress.
