What if my child misses a session?
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy, in which we ask for 24 hour notice if your child will be absent. However, sometimes a child is sick or there is a family obligation that requires they miss program, just call us at 1-844-417-3417 to let us know. They can return on the next session day and continue their treatment.
How long will my child remain in the program?
Depending on your child's need, the average length of stay in program is approximately 2-3 months or about 30-45 sessions.
Does everyone attend the same groups?
Yes, everyone enrolled in program will attend the groups together.
Is there individual treatment as well?
This is a structured intensive outpatient program. However, each of our clients receive truly individualized care. On a weekly basis, your child will receive 2 one-on-one counseling sessions, 1 individual family therapy session, 3-4 group therapy sessions, and 1 multi-family group.
How do families participate in the treatment?
Families are requite to participate in treatment by attending our weekly Family Night with their child on Monday evening from 5:30pm to 8:30pm, as well as one individual family therapy session a week.
What is the best way to treat a teen with conduct disorder?
A variety of treatment methods are available. Effective psychotherapies include parent management training, individual therapy, family therapy and social skills training. Through such programs, a teen can learn to identify problems, recognize causes, appreciate consequences, learn to talk about feelings, and consider alternative ways of handling difficult situations.

Very passionate about helping others find a life path that helps them spiritually and emotionally, her leadership and experience help provide a safe place for families and teens to come together and grow.
Matt Misuraca, MA, LMFT
Clinical Director
Matt has worked over the past several years for many of the premier drug and alcohol
treatment centers in the Coachella Valley. He brings to facilities a specialized group he
created called ERP (Experiential Relapse Prevention). He is also the creator of
JIRVANA Workshops, which includes offering weekend workshops for participants to
process trauma, grief and loss, addiction and/or general issues that people face throughout
life that block their joy and get in the way of their having fulfilling relationships.
JIRVANA Workshops also provides weekend family programs for families dealing with
addiction as well as one-day Codependency Workshops.
Matt has a private practice in Palm Desert where he specializes in treating couples,
families and individuals dealing with addiction, codependency and trauma. He has two
weekly groups—one for men and one mixed-gender group. He also does unique
intensive couples therapy. He helped create a process called the Four Corners Container
Work, which is a very affective process for resolving issues and finding the love couples
may have lost. He sees individuals in the office on a daily basis. Matt has trained in
experiential therapy for over 28 years by some of the best in the field.

Alyssa attended California Baptist University where she received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling. She is passionate about working with individuals and their families to identify the core of their issues and to collaboratively work together towards healing.
Daniel O’Connell, MSW, LCSW
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
U.K. and U.S. trained, Daniel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in the field since 2003, treating adults, children, and families experiencing complex themes including: domestic violence, substance abuse, LGBTQ issues, physical and sexual abuse, emotional abuse, financial and environmental issues, homelessness, physical and mental illness, dual diagnosis, grief and loss - providing a broad insight into the human condition that moves beyond traditional psychotherapy.
Adopting a humanist and existential perspective, Daniel believes that each person's unique psychology is characterized by an attempt to create a life of meaning, and to make sense of our shared experiences. Daniel is passionate about co-exploring how the search for purpose, self-acceptance and empowerment is intertwined with themes of authenticity and spirituality within our lives.
We offer comprehensive, clinically-based treatment for adolescents and their families who are struggling with substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, as well as mental health issues.
